A family farm market and bakery operating in Prince Edward County since 1967, with apples and other produce grown on site. Pick-your-own fruit, animals, a playground and seasonal farm activities make it both an everyday market and a place to spend time outdoors.

A welcoming fresh-food market in Rossmore, just across the Bay from Prince Edward County, with produce, prepared food and catering. It belongs in the practical local orbit of County life even though the Rossmore location sits outside the municipal boundary.

A neighbourhood market on Lake Street in Picton built around local food, butcher-counter offerings, prepared dishes and provisions. Its emphasis on shopping locally makes it part of the County’s everyday food system rather than merely a visitor destination.

An eighteenth-century country inn in the quiet Hampshire village of Mapledurwell, run by Sandra and Philip Costello since 2003. The owner is friendly and unassuming, but incredibly knowledgeable and well travelled. The menu changes weekly, transforming fresh ingredients into excellent examples of British fare, accompanied by local real ales and a serious wine list. They do like their ale warm—if you’re into that.
