The original, independently family-run London John Lobb, making entirely bespoke shoes, boots and leather goods at 9 St James’s Street. Founded in 1849, the house builds each commission around an individual last and preserves a form of hand shoemaking that is both intensely personal and increasingly rare. Not to be confused with the Hermès-owned John Lobb Paris—also good, but not St James’s bespoke good.
